How to Camp Around the World

The Best Ways To Go Camping Around The World

Camping is a unique option for both the more adventurous travellers or for those camping as beginners. It’s extremely popular among backpackers in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, but can be found in most countries around the world. While campgrounds are certainly the most common way to camp, some hostels also offer the opportunity to camp in their yard. As long as you have a tent, you’ll pay a fraction of the normal hostel fee and still have access to their bathroom and kitchen facilities. If you’re travelling long-term and really want to budget, this is something worth looking into. In some countries such as Australia, it’s also popular to just camp in your vehicle in designated areas. When I was in Australia in 2009, we just parked our vehicles on the sides of roads and slept but I’ve heard the police are clamping down on this. [Read more…] about How to Camp Around the World

HOTELS

Hotels are definitely the most common type of accommodation when traveling the world but they’re also the most expensive option. I typically only use hotels when I’m in a major city for a couple of days or when I’m on a road trip and need to stop in a small town off the highway. However, hotels are common and plentiful, which make them an easy choice wherever you go.

Below are some websites that make booking hotels easy and cheap:

Booking.com

This is your basic hotel booking site with large amounts of inventory all over the world. What I like is that they also include some hostels, which gives many cheaper options. [Read more…] about The Best Way to Book Hotels Around the World

How to Book Airbnb and Other Home Rentals Around the World

Airbnb is quite new but has quickly become one of the most popular options for finding unique accommodations in many different countries around the world. Airbnb is basically a platform for finding locals who are renting out a room in their home or renting out their entire home. Airbnb can be a great way to meet some locals but still have your own private room. Overall, it is a great choice for unique accommodations or for saving money in most major cities. However, there are other similar options for private home rentals.

LL027: Finding Your Unique Genius and Talent Part 2

by Matt Leave a Comment

In the 27th episode of the Live Limitless podcast, I chat once again with Nancy Marmolejo of talentandgenius.com. This is part 2 of the Finding Your Unique Genius and Talent workshop episode.

Find your genius and talentNancy Marmolejo teaches entrepreneurs, experts, and teams how to tap into their unique genius and use it to position themselves as trusted authorities. Dubbed a “professional paradigm shifter”, Nancy helps people understand all they bring to the table, especially the parts of themselves they can’t see.

Since 2003, Nancy’s business consulting has helped clients from around the world expand their reach and impact. As a social media influencer, she’s known for her authentic and relatable style.

We do something extra cool in this podcast. Instead of a typical interview where I ask Nancy all the questions, we turn this around and Nancy gives me a live “coaching call”. I call these “workshop” episodes. It’s like a live case study because instead of Nancy telling us about what she does, she actually shows us what she does by helping me find my genius!

This is part two. If you’re new here, I’d recommend listening to part 1 first. I also recommend downloading her free eBook Personal Brand: reINVENTED. In this episode, we dig deeper into what I’m all about. We take what we learned in episode 26 and expand it into a sort of mission statement. It’s called the Love-Hate-Create message.

Here’s what we came up with for me, although I still may need to refine it further.

I love helping people experience new things so that they lead healthier, happier, and more exciting lives. It drives me crazy to see people put limits on themselves, thinking that they don’t have the time, money, connections, or expertise to do the things they dream of. This isn’t true. What holds most people back are self-imposed thoughts and beliefs. So I created a platform to help you explore life’s possibilities and live limitless.

How to Travel the World by Bus

The Best Way to Book Bus Travel Around the World

I’ve had a wide range of bus trips during my many travels. I’ve traveled on extremely comfortable buses across Asia with beds aboard and I’ve taken luxurious first-class buses throughout Colombia and South America. On the other hand, I’ve also taken my fair share of horrible bus rides complete with cockroaches, chickens, smelly sweat, and mechanical breakdowns. If you plan on backpacking or visiting remote locations, long-distance buses are probably the main mode of transportation that you’ll be using. Some bus trips will likely become what some call “a trip from hell” while some bus trips will be simply amazing, with beds and individual TVs. While most bus trips are easy to book from within the country, there are some websites to help you get started, depending on where you are.  [Read more…] about How to Travel the World by Bus
